The Garwood School District is a caring community that is committed to achieving excellence for every child every day. Achievement, respect, integrity, and responsibility form the foundation of our strong partnership among students, parents, community, and staff.

The Garwood Board of Education believes that all children can learn and that the Garwood Public Schools must prepare pupils to be lifelong learners, good citizens, and involved community members by providing a positive and productive learning environment that will empower each child to develop his/her potential while building and fostering enthusiasm, curiosity, responsibility, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

The Garwood Board of Education holds monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. All parents and community members are invited to attend.

The Garwood School District has a rich tradition of activities past and present which have contributed to our school pride and the motto “Garwood, the small town with a big heart.” We look forward to working with everyone to be “the best we can be” in the coming school year.
