PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE GOOGLE MEET LINKS:
Please join at the time you are signed up. I look forward to speaking with you about your child's progress in math.
I love teaching math in the middle grades and am very happy to be a part of the Lincoln School family.
I am a Google Certified Educator and will use all the knowledge that comes with that to make sure your children are proficient in using all the Google tools they will need to be successful in high school, college and beyond.
I am a mother of two. My son graduated from Ramapo College in New Jersey in 2018 and is now working as an accountant in New Jersey. My daughter is currently in the 9th grade and enjoys playing on her soccer team and doing Irish step dancing.
As a parent myself I will never expect from your child what I do not expect from my own. 😊
I am looking forward to another year with your children in middle school math. This year your child will think critically, analyze information, make connections, be precise, envision solutions, explain and justify discoveries and become more confident mathematical thinkers.
In this class it won’t always be easy but we will strive to make easy happen through hard work, productive struggle, and asking lots of questions.
Your child will have access to all the lesson materials on Google Classroom which will help keep them organized. I ask that you please make sure you check their GCR to stay informed about what we are doing in class. Each lesson we explore will have a multitude of different resources to help your child do their very best.
Each student should have a math folder and a notebook. Please also have them come to class with several sharpened pencils, no erasable pen please.
Homework will often be for the students to complete assignments we have been working on in class. If you see your child struggling please remind them to check out the resources on GCR. If they are still struggling they should reach out to me. I am usually available during their recess time/my lunch time for questions.
A Texas Instruments calculator will be issued to your child with a specific number assigned to each calculator. Students are responsible for keeping them safe and in good working order. A fine will be issued at the end of the year for any calculators that are not returned or are broken.
As a parent myself, I will never expect from your child what I do not expect from my own. 😊
