This year in 5th grade science we will be exploring a variety of topics across the 3 domains of science. We will begin the year with a general understanding of the Scientific Method and then transition into Earth Science, Physical Science, and Life Science. Each of these three domains is made up of investigations where the students will have an opportunity to explore each topic individually, in small groups, and collectively as a class. Throughout each of the investigations the students will build knowledge of academic vocabulary and implement their understanding through various assignments, including, classwork, homework, quizzes, tests and projects.
