Mrs. Tina Simitz is currently Vice President, Client Services for a healthcare marketing and communications company in Morristown, NJ. A mother of three children (including a son with special needs) Mrs. Simitz has been a resident of Garwood for six years. With children in both the elementary school and middle school, she is very familiar with all facets of the school from Pre-K through 8th grade. Mrs. Simitz was elected via write-in vote in November 2016. She has worked tirelessly as an advocate for her own son to ensure that Lincoln School not only has the right academic supports in place for children with special needs, but behavioral supports as well. As the daughter of two teachers, she believes that every child can live up to his/her true potential with the right education. As a BOE member, Mrs. Simitz hopes to be able to balance that belief, while keeping a keen eye on the school budget.
